[G7 Reaffirms Iran Must Never Acquire Nuclear Weapons] According to a report by Jinse Finance, on June 17, the G7 issued a statement saying, we support and are willing to contribute to the implementation of the U.S.-Iran agreement. We reaffirm that the right to unrestricted passage and exemption from fees is the cornerstone of international trade. Defensive initiatives led by France and the United Kingdom can play an important role in protecting merchant ships, reassuring shipping companies, and assisting in confirming that all mines have been cleared, thereby facilitating the restoration of maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. We strongly support the development of a robust and comprehensive diplomatic follow-up agreement, based on the memorandum of understanding reached by U.S. President Trump, to bring peace and security to all countries in the Middle East. We emphasize that achieving this goal requires relevant negotiations to address Iran's threats in the region and beyond, and to ensure it can never acquire nuclear weapons. We agree that such negotiations will benefit from the active participation of relevant regional and international partners, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). We reaffirm that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons. We are committed to accelerating the diversification of energy supply routes to reduce global dependence on the Strait of Hormuz and to increase our energy reserves.
