SpaceX went public just 5 days ago and already dropped a $60 billion bombshell. This all-stock acquisition of Cursor is essentially Musk buying the most critical productivity tool for SpaceX's AI closed-loop system.
By Q3 2026, Cursor will be integrated into the SpaceX ecosystem as a wholly-owned subsidiary. Original shareholders won’t receive cash but will instead get swapped shares directly pegged to Class A stock. The question is, with this kind of vertical integration happening so fast, what kind of disruption will traditional software development models face?
