BlackRock Launches Bitcoin Premium Income ETF BITA

According to Deep Tide TechFlow on June 16, as reported by The Block, BlackRock has launched the iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF — BITA. This fund holds Bitcoin spot positions and BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF — IBIT, while selling call options on approximately 25% to 35% of the IBIT holdings to generate option premium income and distribute it to investors. BITA will trade on Nasdaq with a sponsorship fee rate of 0.65%. The report notes that this product is aimed at investors seeking Bitcoin exposure while focusing on income generation.
