[Grayscale: Anthropic Ban Highlights Risks of Centralized AI, Demand for Decentralized Alternatives Rises]
According to a report by Cointelegraph, Grayscale's Head of Research, Zach Pandl, stated that the U.S. order for Anthropic to cut off access to its latest AI models highlights the risks of centralized AI control and may increase demand for decentralized alternatives. Last Friday, citing national security concerns, the U.S. government requested Anthropic to suspend model access for foreign nationals, prompting Anthropic to completely disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5. Pandl noted that within 12 hours of Anthropic cutting off access, Bittensor's TAO token surged 30%, reaching a three-week high of $283. He remarked that Bittensor offers a decentralized alternative in the AI space, 'which can be seen as the Bitcoin of AI.'
