[Pakistan Seeks Public Feedback on the Draft of the '2026 Virtual Asset Service Regulations']
Foresight News reports that the Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA) has officially released the draft of the '2026 Virtual Asset Service Regulations' and is seeking public feedback from the general public, industry organizations, and stakeholders. The consultation period runs from June 11 to July 2, ending at 19:00. The draft regulations and accompanying activity-specific manuals cover topics such as the classification and application of licenses for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP), governance and operational requirements, market conduct standards, technology and cybersecurity, AML/CFT compliance obligations, and client asset protection. Additionally, specialized manuals are provided for ten types of licenses, including exchanges, custody, brokerage, derivatives, and mining services.
