June 15 News: World announced that it has entered Phase 3 of 'The Simple Plan' (Reach critical scale and initial utility), transitioning its growth model from early-stage token incentives to utility-driven growth. The current focus is on advancing the implementation of World ID across three major scenarios:
- Enterprise (collaborating with Zoom, Okta, and DocuSign to launch products like Deep Face)
- Individual (Tinder verifying real humans, Concert Kit reserving tickets for real attendees at concerts)
- AI Agent (launching AgentKit to support human delegation and verification).
On the operational front, World will concentrate resources in a few high-density, high-utility cities, including San Francisco and New York in the U.S., as well as regions like the UK, Germany, Japan, and South Korea, while reducing physical operational footprints in non-priority areas.
In terms of hardware, the next-generation Orb will shift to a self-service model, aiming for 95% self-service operation by the end of 2026. Additionally, World ID 4.0 introduces a fee mechanism, allowing credential issuers and protocols to charge fees to users through World ID, while end users can continue to use the protocol for free.
