The largest IPO in human history has gone public. After reading "The Book of Elon Musk", which is a collection of interview quotes based on Elon Musk's previous works, divided into different themes, I think it has great reading value. Summarize some of the 10 golden sentences and book recommendations that I think are included:
-1. Find the intersection of talent and interests. You may possess a certain skill but dislike execution. One should choose a work combination that not only leverages innate advantages but also aligns with personal interests. There should always be something in life that makes you feel passionate and grateful to be alive to pursue. Building our future.
-2. Must be extremely resilient and work hard. Eighty to one hundred hours of work must be invested per week. This will increase your chances of success.
-3. Look directly at fear, it will dissipate on its own. The essence of fear lies in people's unwillingness to face it. Facing fear, it no longer exists. Let go and do it. Put it into practice immediately. People often hesitate to try due to excessive fear. Fear is the primary reason for failure. Don't be afraid of failure. Take immediate action.
-4. Read more books, as the speed of information transmission through reading far exceeds that of language expression.
-Those days were full of suffering. When I woke up, my whole body smelled of engine oil and iron filings, which was quite harsh. But I demand that people give their all. If I don't lead by example myself, I can't expect them to do their best. Don't ask soldiers to take on responsibilities that you don't even want to take on yourself.
-Life is short and should not be trapped by long-term grievances. This person doesn't know me, they write only to gain clicks, so the damage will be reduced.
-We must maintain optimism. Pessimism is meaningless and useless. My theory is: it is better to be optimistic about the future but make mistakes than pessimistic but correct
-We must fight hard, otherwise we will be trapped on Earth forever. I will never give up unless I die or completely lose my ability to move. I cannot emphasize more: as long as we strive forward without complacency, the future will surely be brilliant.
-After being ousted by the PayPal coup leader, I could have said 'you bastards', but I didn't do it. If it had done that back then, the Founder's Fund would not have invested in a space exploration technology company in 2008, as the company would have gone bankrupt long ago. Karma may really exist.
Recommend reading Isaac Asimov's Foundation series. Its core idea is to safeguard society in the dark ages. I believe that civilization will inevitably fall back into the dark ages at some stage.
Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
Lessons from History: Will Durant and Ariel Durant Co authored
The Story of Civilization, co authored by Will Durant and Ariel Durant
The Art of War by Sun Tzu (a masterpiece that has been repeatedly read)
