On the 14th Israeli transport minister Miri Regev sent an emergency letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu warning that prolonged US military use of civilian parking stands could, if unresolved by the 16th, force cancellation of more than 2.4 mln summer and holiday air tickets and severely damage Israel’s aviation and tourism sectors. Regev said about 72 US tanker aircraft are deployed at Ben-Gurion International Airport, occupying over half of civilian stands, and some 26 US aircraft are at Ramon Airport, using nearly 90% of its parking capacity. The Israeli Airports Authority has set the 16th as a final deadline and said it will formally notify airlines to reduce or cancel affected flights if the US aircraft are not moved. The prime minister’s office and affected airlines have not responded.(金十数据)
