[SK Hynix Added Over 2,000 Employees Last Year] According to a report by Jinse Finance on June 14, citing 36Kr, industry insiders revealed on Sunday that driven by the global artificial intelligence boom, the demand for memory chips has surged, leading SK Hynix to add over 2,000 employees last year. This expansion is particularly notable against the backdrop of a slowdown in South Korea's overall job market. Data shows that by the end of 2025, SK Hynix's total workforce will reach 34,549, an increase of 2,159 compared to the previous year. During the same period, the number of employees in Samsung Electronics' Device Solutions division, which handles its chip business, stood at 78,064, slightly down from 78,699 the previous year. As of the end of last year, the total number of chip-related employees at the two tech giants amounted to 112,613, an increase of 1,554 year-on-year.
