[US CFTC Grants No-Action Relief for Conversion of Digital Commodity Perpetual Futures Contracts] Foresight News reports, according to the official website of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the CFTC's Division of Market Oversight recently issued a No-Action Letter allowing Designated Contract Markets (DCMs) to convert existing digital commodity perpetual-style futures contracts into true digital commodity perpetual futures contracts—i.e., removing the contract expiration date—provided that investor protection and procedural requirements are met. Relevant conditions include soliciting feedback from position holders, providing advance notice and an opportunity to exit, offering risk disclosures, and not altering other substantive contract terms. DCMs must also submit amended documentation and certify compliance as required by regulations. This relief is valid until June 30, 2026.
