Note: if users know in advance that they are being monitored during a test period, and they opt into that test, that's a private company's right — obviously. And this is actually standard practice in many fields. User can opt out of the testing period and just use the last model. Zero issues. @DarioAmodei is doing the monitoring to protect against bio weapons and hacking, which is completely reasonable and responsible. If you take out the politics of this situation, and you say “Google/OpenAi/groq/etc is monitoring the latest Gemini/Chatgpt/etc in their beta to make sure terrorists and hackers don’t abuse it” the would get a high five!!!(@jason)
