SpaceX IPO's first trade price may be announced around midday ET
SpaceX (SPCX) is expected to see its first official trade price between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM ET (11:00 PM–1:00 AM Beijing Time).
Since the initial price needs to be determined by the underwriting syndicate and the exchange based on the order book's supply and demand, the opening time may be delayed multiple times if there’s an imbalance in buy and sell orders or significant fluctuations in the Indicative Price.
Market insiders point out that this is common for large, high-profile IPOs and is aimed at improving price discovery and liquidity quality. Historically, popular IPOs like Facebook, Snowflake, and Arm have also seen their first trades occur around midday or even later in the afternoon.
The current SpaceX IPO price is set at $135, with the latest off-market indicative price around $170–$175.
