The World Cup kicks off today. Suddenly, I’m reminded of four years ago, during the last World Cup. Back then, I was broke, heartbroken, and lying in my dorm room, just thinking about how to make 10U a day. FTX had just collapsed, the Crypto market was lifeless, and there was barely any movement day to day. Later, I stumbled upon a World Cup bug and ended up making 200K. For me at the time, that was basically *my* World Cup. Back then, I was thinking, if by the next World Cup I could make 1 million RMB, I’d really go watch it live. At the time, I was still borrowing money from friends. Time flies so fast. Four years ago, I could never have imagined how much a young guy could grow. The important thing isn’t just that I have more money now, but that I’ve finally made it to a bigger table, seen a bigger world, and experienced a new wave of historical change. Sometimes, hitting rock bottom isn’t necessarily a bad thing—it could be the start of something good. Life actually offers many opportunities. Choices matter, timing matters, but most importantly, when the opportunity comes, you’re still at the table.
