Federal Reserve data shows that the size of US commercial paper expanded last week
According to Golden Finance, on June 12th, data released by the Federal Reserve on Thursday showed that the size of US commercial paper increased in the week ending June 10th. In the latest week, seasonally adjusted US outstanding commercial paper increased by $11.4 billion to $1.413 trillion. The size of unpaid commercial paper without seasonal adjustment decreased by $6.9 billion to $1.466 trillion. Some analysts believe that unadjusted data is more reliable than seasonally adjusted data, as the latter has been distorted due to the impact of the financial crisis. The outstanding commercial paper of foreign financial institutions without seasonal adjustment decreased by $7.2 billion to $356 billion.
