[Bloomberg: Meta Completes Operational Separation from Manus, Halts Data Sharing Between the Two Companies]
Foresight News reports, according to Bloomberg, Meta Platforms Inc. has completed its operational separation from Manus and has ceased data sharing between the two companies. According to sources familiar with the matter, Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has effectively established a firewall between itself and the Chinese company Manus. The sources stated that since the beginning of this month, Meta has prohibited Manus and its employees from accessing the internal data systems of the U.S. company. The sources also noted that Meta employees can no longer use Manus's tools for internal projects. Due to the sensitivity of internal decisions, these sources requested anonymity.
According to an internal memo seen by Bloomberg, Meta is gradually winding down Manus's operations. The memo indicates that employees were instructed to migrate existing Manus projects to Meta's systems and refrain from initiating new work on the AI platform. The sources stated that these measures aimed at separating the operations of the two companies mark another step forward in the eventual divestiture of Manus.
