[Thai Police Solve Cryptocurrency Exchange Robbery Case, Recover 81,000 Baht in Cash]
Odaily Planet Daily News – Thai police in Bangkok have arrested 8 individuals involved in a case where a gang allegedly robbed a 35-year-old Chinese man of 196,000 baht during an offline cryptocurrency exchange. According to reports, the victim went to a café at a gas station in Bangkok's Bang Khun district on June 4, as agreed online, to complete a baht-to-cryptocurrency exchange. After receiving the cash, the suspects fled on motorcycles. A total of 9 people were involved in the case, using 6 motorcycles to disperse in different directions. Currently, 1 suspect remains at large. Police have seized vehicles, clothing, and 81,000 baht in cash related to the case. The 8 arrested individuals have been charged with robbery, aiding escape, and organized crime. The case has been handed over to the local police station for further investigation. (Thethaiger)
