According to Wu Blockchain, Blockaid tweeted that its vulnerability detection system identified a suspected admin key breach in the MILC Media Metaverse cross-chain bridge on BNB and Ethereum. The historical cross-chain bridge admin wallet was used to grant roles to a new attacker EOA, extract MLT from the cross-chain bridge contract, and transfer admin control to the attacker’s wallet. Blockaid stated that the compromised admin extracted MLT from two cross-chain bridge contracts and subsequently granted DEFAULT_ADMIN_ROLE and MANAGER_ROLE to the attacker-controlled wallet.
