[SlowMist: Asterix Attack Similar to Flooring Protocol and BMP, Attackers Seeking Common Vulnerabilities]
SlowMist founder Cosine stated in an article that the attack on Asterix is similar to the one on Flooring Protocol and BMP yesterday (underlying protocols DN404 and BT404, respectively), involving high-value NFT ID shift operation overflow reuse. It seems the attackers are looking for common vulnerabilities.
Reportedly, Asterix disclosed an attack incident yesterday that affected the ASTX token contract, stating that its Uniswap v4 liquidity pool was attacked on June 8. The attackers stole approximately 30 ETH through 242 transactions. The vulnerability stemmed from the lack of token ID restriction checks for approval operations in the early version of DN404. The attackers exploited outdated token approvals, repeatedly selling tokens in the pool to obtain ETH, and then extracting equivalent tokens through forged IDs. This cyclical operation drained the funds.
