Ledger CTO Charles Guillemet stated that while the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) aims to unify the regulatory framework, the high costs of capital, auditing, insurance, and compliance are pushing small and medium-sized crypto startups out of the market, creating competitive barriers for large institutions and traditional financial entities.
