The forefront of AI industry: passive components are rising again and again, leading companies have tripled in the past two months
Odaily Planet Daily News: Citrini analyst Jukan stated in an article on X platform that starting from July 1st, Murata will raise the factory price of its entire series of power inductors by 50%; Taiyo Yuden will uniformly raise the spot prices of power inductor models with limited supply by 150%, and raise the prices of standard models by 35%. Note: The price increase of power inductors this time is the latest continuation of the passive component price increase trend since the end of 2025, which has gradually spread from tantalum capacitors, resistors, MLCC/magnetic beads to power inductors. Japanese giants such as Murata and Taikoo Electric have outstanding pricing power in high-end products, and Taiwanese and mainland manufacturers such as Guoju, Huaxin Technology, Fenghua, and Shunluo have followed suit multiple times.
