A couple of days ago, I attended a lecture by Professor Lu Chaoyang, an expert in quantum computing. I went with a question in mind: can BTC be cracked by quantum computing? The conclusion is that it's theoretically possible, but there's no need to worry in practice. Anti-quantum algorithms will definitely be upgraded before that happens. That said, looking at how BTC has been dropping recently, there’s even less to worry about—at the pace quantum computing is developing, BTC might hit zero before that day comes (just kidding).
