This Week's Recap: U.S. Stocks + Crypto
In the last half hour before Friday's close, almost all assets took a nosedive. This wasn’t sector rotation—it was collective deleveraging.
SOXX plunged 5.9%, with semiconductors taking the hardest hit. NVDA dropped 3%, and XLK was slashed by 3.9%. The tech sector got wiped across the board, with SPY sliding from its midweek high of 760 all the way down to 748—wiping out the week’s gains.
The real red flag? Gold. GLD dropped 2.3%. When a safe-haven asset stops being safe, it’s simple: this isn’t just portfolio rebalancing—someone got liquidated.
Crypto had it even worse. BTC fell 4.6% in 24 hours to 60.8k, ETH got slashed by 8.4%, and SOL followed with a 5.8% drop. Both crypto and stocks tanked together, with risk assets getting drained indiscriminately. #Markets #CryptoCrash
