[NVIDIA Drastically Cuts Next-Gen Rack Memory Configuration, Leading to Memory Stocks Plummeting? SemiAnalysis Founder Clarifies: Too Sensationalized]
Odaily Planet Daily News: Tonight, according to market reports, the latest research report from SemiAnalysis pointed out that 'NVIDIA's next-generation AI server cluster Rubin NVL72 has undergone significant adjustments in memory configuration. To address supply chain constraints and ensure on-time delivery of Rubin cabinets, the per-cabinet capacity has been slashed from the originally planned 55TB to 28TB, a reduction of approximately 50%, using a scaled-down 96GB SOCAMM memory module to replace the previous high-end 192GB module.' Possibly due to this news, memory-related stocks, including Micron and SK Hynix, came under pressure and declined.
In response, SemiAnalysis founder, CEO, and Chief Analyst Dylan Patel (@dylan522p) stated, 'I love when people share what we say but miss most of the context in the notes. Our original report did not use such subscription-baiting headlines.'
