[SpaceX Releases 17-Minute IPO Roadshow Video, Mentions Future Goals Including Asteroid Mining]
Odaily Planet Daily News: SpaceX released a 17-minute IPO roadshow video to retail investors earlier on Thursday. The video was published on the company’s official website, where visitors are prominently encouraged to open brokerage accounts. The only person featured in the video is CFO Bret Johnson, who connects the logic between the company’s rocket, satellite, and artificial intelligence businesses. Johnson stated: 'Elon founded SpaceX with the goal of changing humanity’s destiny and making humans a multi-planetary species. Excitingly, we’ve already been able to expand this vision through Starlink and AI solutions.'
The roadshow materials outlined several future goals, though no specific timelines were set, including increasing gross margins from last year’s 49% to approximately 70% and achieving a net profit margin of about 45%, compared to last year’s -26%. Johnson also discussed SpaceX’s massive capital expenditures, noting that we are not the only ones making large-scale investments in capital spending, especially in the AI sector of current operations. Over the past two years, this has accounted for the largest share of capital expenditures.
Johnson also highlighted asteroid mining, a commercial model that has yet to be validated. Prior to the IPO, SpaceX had not shown significant interest in this area. (Jin10)
