We are committed to advancing Jamaica’s ambition to become a logistics hub for the Americas, strengthening our role in global supply chains and investment.
But this vision depends on one critical factor, a secure maritime space.
Our sea lanes are being used by transnational criminal networks to move firearms and narcotics. These are the weapons that fuel violence in communities across Kingston, Montego Bay, and Spanish Town.
Every firearm intercepted at sea is one less weapon reaching our streets.
We continue to build strong partnerships and strengthen maritime security to protect Jamaica and our people.(Andrew Holness)
