According to Reuters, data released by the UK Electoral Commission shows that the populist Reform UK party, led by Nigel Farage, has raised more funds than its main rivals for the third consecutive quarter. In the first quarter of this year, the party raised a total of £9.3 million, largely thanks to massive donations from crypto investors: Christopher Harborne, currently residing in Thailand, donated over £3 million, while BitMex co-founder Ben Delo contributed £4 million. Meanwhile, the parliamentary standards watchdog is investigating whether Farage should have declared a £5 million fund previously received from Harborne (which the Reform Party claims was a purely personal gift). Additionally, the Labour Party announced in March this year plans to ban cryptocurrency political donations and impose donation caps on citizens residing overseas. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/news-62212
