After OpenGradient launched, I took some time to review the project details and tokenomics. It feels a bit different from many of the recent projects riding the AI hype. Over the past two years, the market's focus on AI has mainly been on models, computing power, and Agent applications. However, OpenGradient has chosen to dive into a more fundamental infrastructure track—making AI models, data, and inference processes verifiable, traceable, and attributable. To put it simply, most AI today is still a 'black box.' Users can't verify whether the results are accurate or confirm what data the model actually used. OpenGradient aims to solve this problem by using blockchain and cryptographic verification mechanisms to provide trustworthy proof for AI outputs. I think this is also a key reason why it has gained Binance's support. From a track perspective, OpenGradient falls under the AI Infra + Verifiable AI category. Compared to platforms that solely focus on models or computing power leasing, this type of project is more like building the foundational network needed for the future AI ecosystem to operate. If AI Agents become widely adopted in the future, trustworthy inference and on-chain verification could very well become basic requirements. Looking at the tokenomics, the overall design seems relatively restrained. The total supply is fixed, with no unlimited minting mechanism. Both the team and investors have lock-up arrangements, and the airdrop proportion isn’t excessively high, which relatively reduces the risk of short-term sell pressure. After launch, the biggest market debate hasn’t been about the token itself but whether the project can truly attract developers and AI applications to integrate. For infrastructure projects, long-term value ultimately depends on network usage, not short-term market sentiment. As of now, OpenGradient seems more like Binance’s early bet on the AI infrastructure track. If AI Agents, on-chain intelligent entities, and decentralized AI networks continue to grow, OpenGradient is worth keeping an eye on. At the very least, it doesn’t appear to be a project purely driven by hype but one that’s trying to address a real problem in the AI space. #OpenGradient #AI #BNB #Binance
