Polymarket Accuses Kalshi of Corporate Espionage
Polymarket has accused competitor Kalshi of potentially engaging in corporate espionage targeting its New York office and employees, and has launched an internal investigation.
Polymarket compiled a "copycat" dossier documenting about a dozen suspicious incidents: including its free grocery campaign being "copied" roughly 9 days in advance, and Kalshi's similar perpetual contract product plans being leaked to the media just 1 hour before Polymarket's official launch.
Polymarket employees are also concerned that venture capital firm Paradigm, which backs Kalshi, might be spying on computer screens from the office across the street. The company applied window film to some windows this spring as a precaution.
Kalshi has denied all allegations, calling the suspicions "sad and borderline delusional.
