If it weren’t for an old Solana wallet getting hacked a few days ago, I would’ve been caught up too.
No idea what malicious transaction I blindly signed, but it directly changed the Owner permissions of my account.
This is the scary part of Solana’s account model compared to EVM: EVM addresses can’t transfer EOA ownership. As long as the private key isn’t leaked, you can cancel Approve authorizations and still use it.
With Solana, if your address gets hacked, it’s an Owner hijack. Ownership is permanently transferred, and your whole house gets wiped out.
Still feeling shaken.
