[Speculative Long Positions in the U.S. Dollar Reach $16.5 Billion, Highest Since February 2025]
Odaily Planet Daily News: The Kobeissi Letter posted on the X platform that speculative long positions in the U.S. dollar have risen to $16.5 billion, the highest level since February 2025. These positions include hedge funds and asset management institutions positioning based on price trends and macroeconomic views, rather than for hedging purposes. Over the past two weeks, bullish positions on the dollar have tripled and have maintained a net long position for 11 consecutive weeks, marking the longest continuous period since 2024–2025. Since late January, the U.S. Dollar Index has risen by 3%, with investors maintaining strong demand for the dollar as the U.S. economy demonstrates greater resilience compared to other major economies amidst the backdrop of the Iran war and global commodity supply disruptions.
