[Tether AI Releases Open-Source TurboQuant and Integrates It into QVAC SDK 0.12.0] Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on June 1, Tether AI announced the release of the open-source TurboQuant and its integration into QVAC SDK 0.12.0. This technology is based on Google Research's memory compression algorithm, capable of compressing the KV cache during large language model operations by up to approximately 5 times, reducing memory usage on local and edge devices while maintaining output quality as much as possible. Tether stated that TurboQuant enables notebooks, smartphones, consumer-grade GPUs, edge devices, and decentralized inference networks to handle longer conversations, larger documents, and more complex workloads. It has already been made available to developers via Fabric.
