[NVIDIA Secures Anthropic as an Early Adopter, Expands AI Data Center Layout]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on June 1, NVIDIA announced that Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceX are among the first major users of its upcoming microprocessor, marking a key step in its latest effort to expand in the artificial intelligence data center sector. Jensen Huang stated that these companies will be among the first to use NVIDIA's Vera central processing unit in their data centers. The new product is set to enter full production in the third quarter of this year.
Vera is NVIDIA's first standalone data center microprocessor and will directly compete with Intel's Xeon product line, AMD's Epyc chips, and internal projects from major operators like Amazon's Graviton. Jensen Huang noted that for fundamental workloads related to AI, Vera's speed is 1.8 times that of chips based on Intel's x86 technology. This marks the first time NVIDIA has challenged the performance of products that have long been the industry standard. (Jin10)
