The new product is set to enter full production in the third quarter of this year. Vera is NVIDIA's first standalone data center microprocessor and will directly compete with Intel's Xeon product line, AMD's Epyc chips, and internal projects from major operators like Amazon's Graviton. Jensen Huang noted that for fundamental workloads related to AI, Vera's speed is 1.8 times that of chips based on Intel's x86 technology.
