Binance New US Stock Product Imagination (Nonsense Version)
There are two interpretations of yesterday's Binance product teaser image:
-A pile of hay ->Stock ->Stock
-Haystack ->Haystack ->Hey Stock
Based on recent market trends, the new product can be basically confirmed to be Binance stock/US stock. Here, I envision four forms of products, corresponding to 'not meeting expectations' -' far exceeding expectations'.
1. Unexpectedly: Provide a unified entrance for existing stock products
At present, Binance has launched some US stock related products. The TradFi section of the main site has some stocks and perpetual contracts of Pre IPO (such as MSTRUSDT, OPENAIUSDT), and the wallet has over 200 tokenized stocks (AAPLon, TSLOn, based on Ondo).
If the new product only integrates existing products and opens up a unified stock entrance, it will fall short of expectations.
2. As expected: Connect tokenized stocks to the main site
Currently, users can only trade tokenized stocks on their wallet/Alpha, resulting in poor liquidity and user experience. If the new product can be integrated into the main site and provide spot level liquidity and trading experience, it can meet the stock trading needs of most users and meet expectations.
3. Exceeding expectations: Binance acquires or collaborates with licensed securities firms to directly allow users to trade US stocks on Binance
The new product is not limited to tokenized assets, but directly allows users to trade US stock assets using USDT on Binance, including but not limited to stocks/funds/ETF/Pre IPO/perpetual contracts, bridging the gap between traditional securities firms and cryptocurrency exchanges, exceeding expectations.
4. Far beyond expectations: Crypto native entrance to the securities market
Yesterday, there was a heavyweight news that was overlooked by everyone: stablecoin issuer Paxos has obtained the SEC Registered Clearing Agency license, which can provide securities clearing/settlement services within a specific scope. Paxos was the first cryptocurrency company to obtain this license, which can be said to have added the last piece of the puzzle for tokenized securities.

This news is worth a separate post to discuss.
Last cycle, Binance and Paxos collaborated to launch the stablecoin BUSD; In this cycle, Binance has a trading portal and Paxos has a clearing/settlement infrastructure. Will it bring in another compliant broker to operate as a native cryptocurrency securities market?
If it is achieved, users can trade US stocks 24/7, settle at T+0, and the assets are supported by 1:1 real stocks. I can't imagine how exciting it would be!
Finally, welcome to Binance for trading US stocks. You can bind my invitation code to get up to 30% commission discount: 0xAANB
