[Polymarket Launches World Cup Section and Tests Perpetual Contract Functionality]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on May 30, prediction market platform Polymarket announced its product updates for the week, with several new features officially launched. Among them, the platform has introduced a dedicated World Cup page and entered the testing phase, providing a unified entry point for prediction markets related to the upcoming tournament.
Additionally, Polymarket has begun testing its perpetual contract product, with the first batch featuring five traditional financial trading pairs and a BTC perpetual contract. On the technical side, the platform has completed performance optimization for its Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) and plans to release a new version next week to address potential queue congestion during peak periods.
At the same time, Polymarket has open-sourced its SDK, enabled a unified API, and repaired and upgraded the Gamma module, further enhancing the system's stability and data accuracy in high-concurrency environments.
As product functionalities continue to expand, Polymarket is gradually evolving from a single prediction market platform into a comprehensive trading platform encompassing predictions, derivatives, and data services.
