[Former NBA Player Thompson Sues World Mobile Over Token Endorsement Deal Worth Up to $2 Million] According to TechFlow News on May 30, as reported by Front Office Sports, former NBA player Tristan Thompson has filed a lawsuit against World Mobile Group, accusing the company of prematurely terminating their WMTX token brand ambassador agreement and continuing to use his name, likeness, and personal image for promotion without authorization after the agreement was terminated. According to the lawsuit documents, the original agreement between the two parties was for a two-year term, during which Thompson could receive up to $1 million worth of WMTX tokens annually, with a total value of up to $2 million, as compensation for promoting the WMTX tokens. World Mobile, on the other hand, stated that the reasons for terminating the agreement included Thompson's failure to return overissued tokens and his actions of selling WMTX tokens. Currently, both parties have conflicting claims, and the allegations have yet to be ruled on by the court. The case is still under further review.
