Serenity is optimistic about the AI photonics field, with a focus on targets such as AAOI, SIVE, FOCI, and Shunsin
According to TechFlow, on May 30th, well-known investor Serenity stated that in the context of continuous expansion of AI photonics and data center infrastructure, AAOI, SIVE, FOCI, and Shunsin Technology are its most promising high-risk and high return investment targets, and they are optimistic about the future development space of the silicon photonics and advanced packaging industry chain. Text: Investor Serenity shares its latest views on the AI photonics industry chain on social media, stating that with the increasing demand for AI computing power and the upgrading of data center infrastructure, optical communication and silicon photonics related enterprises are facing new development opportunities. Among them, Serenity holds a positive attitude towards optical module manufacturer AAOI, believing that the company is benefiting from the expansion of domestic optical module and laser production capacity in the United States. It is expected that the monthly revenue of AAOI will increase to approximately $471 million in 2027, and the related market size may further grow rapidly in 2028. For SIVE, Serenity stated that the company's overall revenue pipeline has increased by approximately 77% compared to historical levels, with an expected revenue scale of around 799 million US dollars. Among them, photonics business will become the main growth engine, and the gross profit margin of related businesses is expected to reach about 60%. At the supply chain level, Serenity points out that FOCI is an important partner between NVIDIA and TSMC in the field of Fiber Array Units (FAUs), and is also one of the key supply links in the COUPE architecture. It believes that the current market value of approximately 2.8 billion US dollars has not fully reflected the company's position in the industry chain. In addition, although Shunsin Technology has relatively limited market attention, it has undertaken a large amount of business in the field of co packaged optics (CPO) and photonics related packaging testing, and continues to receive customer orders including NVIDIA. Serenity believes that due to some projects being executed through subsidiaries, the market has not fully accounted for their potential growth value. In addition to the aforementioned companies, Serenity also sees XFAB as a potential beneficiary, believing that it is expected to benefit from the future development of the silicon photonics industry supported by European semiconductor policies. At the same time, it is optimistic about silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) wafer foundry companies, and it is expected that related manufacturers will benefit from NVIDIA's trend of upgrading data center 800V DC power architecture.
