The 23rd Shangri‑La Dialogue opened in Singapore on the evening of the 29th, drawing more than 550 officials, defense ministers and experts from over 40 countries and territories. Attendees include Chinese Communist Party General Secretary and President Su Lin, East Timor President Orta and U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Delegates are focusing on regional peace and security, with the Middle East’s impact on Asian energy and security highlighted as a key agenda item.
