Sky's system places the highest emphasis on risk control. Take oracle risks as an example: Spark uses multiple independent oracle providers like Chainlink, RedStone, and Chronicle for aggregation, along with TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) and fallback logic.
Aave almost entirely relies on Chainlink as a single oracle provider. Of course, Chainlink hasn’t had any issues so far.
Morpho’s design is quite unique—it’s completely oracle-agnostic, meaning the protocol itself doesn’t integrate any oracles. Each market is curated independently, but the default setup is also a single independent oracle. However, this essentially decentralizes the risk to each market. Since markets are isolated from one another, an oracle issue in one market won’t affect others.
Oracle issues are a critical aspect of DeFi security. Markets should adopt Sky’s risk control approach or further optimize it as a foundation.
