Since the BTC ETF got approved, BTC is BTC, ETH is ETH, and altcoins are altcoins. There's no longer BTC funds flowing into altcoins—BTC and altcoin players are already two separate groups. After the clear regulations pass, altcoins and BTC will further decouple, and prices will no longer follow BTC. Before 2026, altcoins are in chaos, but after that, altcoins will be more like small-cap stocks in the U.S. stock market. For retail investors to make a comeback, it still has to be with altcoins.
