[Iranian Revolutionary Guard: Still in Control of the Strait of Hormuz, Any Interference Will Face Severe Response]
Golden Finance reports that on May 28, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy's Public Relations Department announced that full control over the Strait of Hormuz is still being implemented. In the past 24 hours, 26 commercial ships and oil tankers have passed through the Strait of Hormuz with Iranian authorization and coordination. The statement emphasized that passing through the Strait of Hormuz requires permission and coordination; using alternative routes will be considered disruptive behavior and will be dealt with accordingly.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated that last night, several vessels attempted to enter the Persian Gulf unauthorized by tampering with and disabling their navigation systems. After multiple radio warnings, the Revolutionary Guard Navy intercepted two of the vessels on the spot, while the remaining ships were forced to turn back.
The statement also revealed that U.S. military forces in the region violated the ceasefire agreement by launching several missiles into an open area near Bandar Abbas Airport, causing no damage. In response, the Revolutionary Guard retaliated against the U.S. military base responsible for the attack. The statement warned that if such actions occur again, the U.S. military will face severe consequences.
