AKASHA Foundation, founded in 2015 by Ethereum co-founder Mihai Alisie, has decided to shut down operations. Back then, @VitalikButerin was even listed as an advisor. (Mihai is also a co-founder of *Bitcoin Magazine*) When I first learned about Ethereum in 2017, AKASHA was still a well-known project within the Ethereum community. At the time, it was positioned more as a decentralized social media product, but later it kept pivoting and experimenting with different directions. After that, it seemed like no one in the Ethereum community paid much attention to them anymore. I only occasionally received some lukewarm updates through their newsletter. This is probably one of those early Ethereum community memories. Looking back, many of the names that were frequently mentioned back then have gradually faded out of the mainstream spotlight.
