ETH keeps dropping, and now Vitalik is off to write sci-fi novels.
Vitalik announced on Farcaster that he’s decided to explore decentralized governance in a new way—by writing a sci-fi novel.
His exact words were, 'I don’t want to write those regular blogs anymore,' marking his first attempt at fictional writing.
The timing is a bit... interesting. ETH has been in a slump, Bankless co-founder dumped all his ETH holdings, several members of the Ethereum Foundation have resigned, and just last week, Vitalik published a long article discussing EF’s transformation direction.
The Solana community is already throwing shade: 'ETH is tanking, and he’s off writing novels.'
To be fair, cypherpunk culture has always been deeply tied to sci-fi narratives, from *Snow Crash* to now, so this isn’t exactly groundbreaking.
But choosing this moment to use fiction to discuss governance? Yeah, the community’s reaction hasn’t been great—hard to avoid that.
