[Singapore Police Charge Former Hodlnaut CEO Zhu Juntao Over False Statements During Terra Collapse]
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Singapore police have filed six fraud charges against Zhu Juntao, the former CEO of the now-defunct crypto lending platform Hodlnaut. He is accused of instructing employees to issue false statements during the 2022 TerraUSD collapse, misleading users by claiming that Hodlnaut had no direct exposure to TerraUSD risks and did not suffer losses as a result. Prosecutors stated that the false information was disseminated via Hodlnaut's Telegram channel, customer emails, and Zhu's personal X (formerly Twitter) account. Under Singapore law, if convicted, Zhu faces up to 20 years in prison, fines, or both for each charge. (CoinDesk)
