[U.S. Media Corrects Previous Report, States U.S. Navy Has Not Resumed 'Operation Sentinel']
Odaily Planet Daily News – The Wall Street Journal previously reported that a Greece-flagged supertanker carrying 2 million barrels of crude oil had traversed the waterway off the coast of Oman under the guidance of the U.S. Navy. This escort operation was described as a new phase of 'Operation Sentinel.' Subsequently, the media outlet corrected its earlier report, stating that a spokesperson for U.S. Central Command clarified that the U.S. has not resumed 'Operation Sentinel,' and reports about the program's restart were inaccurate. The media also noted that its earlier version of the report mistakenly referred to this coordination with the merchant vessel as a new phase of 'Operation Sentinel.' (Jin10)
