The PoS mechanism was originally a great invention. When there are enough nodes, self-organization can lead to behavior patterns that benefit the network, and even create unexpected value. In the AI field, this phenomenon is called emergence. It's just like neurons in the brain. Humans have 100 billion neurons in total. If you isolate one, it's nothing—it just contracts and fires, like a single PoS node that only handles bookkeeping and broadcasting. But when so many neurons form a network, they create intelligence and cognition. However, the premise is that all nodes must be equal and spontaneous. There can't be one node acting as a great leader, guiding the behavior of other nodes. Otherwise, you're just a programmed dancing robot. From this perspective, if ETH wants to be as great as BTC, the EF nodes must shut down first.
