The @blackberry CFO Tim Foote leaked earnings alpha at the CIBC Technology & Innovation Conference 2026 two days ago on May 21, 2026. He & John Wall (President of BlackBerry’s QNX Division) discussed the company’s QNX royalty backlog. Verbatim, he stated: “And this past year, we put in twice as much as we took out.” This refers to adding/contributing significantly more new commitments to the QNX backlog than what the backlog currently stands at ($950m). I think this is a preview of BB earnings on 6/23/26 where we are likely to see a sig EPS beat again thanks to strong growth in its QNX and IoT divisions again. Worth watching.
