[Trump Holds Meeting with National Security Team to Discuss Iran War Affairs]
Reported by Jinse Finance, on May 23, U.S. President Trump stated during a speech in New York on May 22 local time that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons, adding, 'This matter will be resolved very soon.' Two U.S. officials revealed that Trump convened a meeting with his senior national security team that morning to discuss matters related to a potential war with Iran. Sources who have spoken directly with Trump disclosed that, unless a breakthrough is achieved in negotiations at the last moment, Trump is seriously considering launching new strikes against Iran.
During the meeting, Trump was briefed on the current state of negotiations and informed about various contingency plans in case the talks collapse. A U.S. official who was briefed on the diplomatic process described the ongoing negotiations as 'excruciating.' The official noted that the draft proposals for the negotiations are being 'passed back and forth daily,' but no substantive progress has been made.
It is reported that Vice President Vance, Secretary of Defense Hegseth, CIA Director Ratcliffe, White House Chief of Staff Wiles, and other officials attended the meeting. (CCTV News)
