Did a fun experiment today: transferred USDC from Sui address A to address B with *zero* Gas fees. You read that right—starting today, any user transferring stablecoins on the Sui chain no longer needs SUI as Gas. Don’t believe me? Feel free to send me a transfer and try it out Important note: this isn’t a temporary subsidy or promotion—it’s a brand-new protocol-level feature that’s here to stay. Sui has officially entered the “zero-Gas stablecoin transfer” era. Checked the list provided by @SuiNetwork, and the currently supported mainstream stablecoins include USDSui, USDC, SuiUSDe, USDY, FdUSD, AUSD, and USDB. From now on, these assets can flow freely within the Sui ecosystem, just like sending messages—completely frictionless. This is as groundbreaking as when TRC20 USDT made transfers free back in the day. I predict a wave of other blockchains trying to copy this, assuming they’re willing to put in the effort. Looking back at Sui’s moves over the past two years, it’s clear they’ve been aligning with the mainstream, working to lower the barriers for institutions and users to enter Web3. This includes strengthening payment infrastructure, with stablecoins being a perfect entry point. For institutional users especially, free stablecoin transfers are a huge deal—just think about how much they can save annually on fees. The market potential here starts in the trillions. As a partner in this protocol update, Fireblocks is also worth paying attention to. They’re a unicorn-level digital asset infrastructure company with thousands of institutional clients, over $14 trillion in transaction volume, and more than $1 billion in total funding. Back in 2022, their valuation was already at $8 billion, and rumor has it they might IPO this year. U.S. stock market players, keep an eye on this one. @SuiNetworkCN SUI
