A16z crypto: Blockchain drives finance towards' cloud transformation ', Wall Street will enter the era of composable digital assets
According to TechFlow, on May 21st, Guy Wuollet, general partner of a16z crypto, wrote that the financial industry is undergoing a "digital migration" similar to the cloud computing era, and blockchain is becoming the core infrastructure driving this transformation. Wall Street's adoption of blockchain is not driven by the concept of decentralization, but by the practical needs for counterparty risk, settlement efficiency, and fair sorting mechanisms. The so-called 'digital assets' are essentially the process of migrating the underlying architecture of the financial system to the blockchain, similar to the transformation of enterprise IT systems from local deployment to cloud services. When financial assets run on programmable shared infrastructure, it brings the core advantage of "composability", allowing assets to be freely combined and expanded like software, significantly reducing development costs and improving the overall innovation efficiency of the financial system. This trend will drive traditional finance from a "closed reconciliation system" to an "on chain coordinated network", and blockchain technology will gradually become a standard component of the financial infrastructure layer in this process.
