[Crypto Custody Firm Copper Seeks Sale at $500 Million Valuation] BlockBeats News, May 21: Cryptocurrency custody firm Copper is seeking to sell the company, targeting a valuation of approximately $500 million. According to informed sources, the company has proactively been 'looking for buyers' and has enlisted Wall Street investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald to assist with the sale process. Copper's core asset is its ClearLoop settlement system, which allows participants to complete Delivery versus Payment (DvP) within a custodial environment without transferring assets on-chain, thereby reducing settlement risk. In 2023, Copper shut down its enterprise custody business to focus on its ClearLoop service, which now serves over 1,000 active counterparties with a monthly notional trading volume exceeding $50 billion.
